My senior year of high school, I went on a trip with my chorus group to none other than New York City. I had always wanted to see the place that inspired so many and it was incredible. NYC is now the place I want to live. Every once in a while, I like to look back and remember just how amazing it all was.
As Taylor Swift says, Welcome to New York…it’s been waiting for you.
Last summer, my family and I went on vacation to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Now, there is nothing special about going there because, well, we go there almost every year. But that year, I discovered a wonderful, magical place called Brookgreen Gardens.
Brookgreen Gardens is located in Myrtle Beach and we were in North Myrtle, so we had to drive about an hour to get there. My grandmother always talked about going there as a child and playing in the children’s garden. It sounded amazing so the creative art lovers in the family decided to go (we have a big family). It was a humid day and I was dripping sweat the whole time. Still, I was amazed at the beauty of the place and soon found myself lost in its wonders.
